Teachers’ Day Celebration at SNS Vidya Mandir,
Talab Tillo, Jammu

5th September is celebrated as Teachers’ day all over India, every year. This auspicious day is the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan who was a great scholar and teacher. Students all over the country observe this day to pay respect to their teachers. On this auspicious occasion, the students of SNS Vidya Mandir organised a wonderful cultural program to felicitate their teachers. A special assembly was organised in the school. School campus was gripped with fervor as students put their best foot forward to pay tributes to the great visionary Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. Scintillating programs by students marked the teachers’ day celebration. Students presented speeches, recited poems, skit, and dances; they also arrange games for teachers and gave the title to them. They also cut cake and enjoyed a lot. Vanshika Angral of class VII, while delivering her speech said that teachers’ day is the best occasion to extend our sincere gratitude to them, for not only teaching us, but being their true mentors and role models.
The assembly ended (with the final vote of thanks) by Agya kour she congratulated and applauded the immense effort of the pupil teachers for making such a glorious event possible and said that this celebration is to bring oneness among teachers and encourage them to perform well for the betterment of society. Highlighting the achievement of Dr. Radhakrishnan she said that he was true role models and India’s most influential scholars. Teachers should follow his path and be guiding light to children. The gathering rose for the National Anthem before leaving for their classes.
