Club Activities
Science Club: Students of class I to V did an activity called ‘flying tea bag’ in which they learnt warm less dense air rises above the cool dense air. The students of class VI to X did another activity called ‘Picking ice with a string’ in which they learnt that salt lowers the freezing point of water to below zero degree Celsius.
Sport Club: Sports and outdoor activities nourish a child’s thinking capacity and help to improve physical strength. In sports club students of class I to IV learnt the skills of a game ‘Skipping’, class V to VIII learnt about 'Tug off war' and class VIII to X tried to play "disc throw".These activities teach them how to accept defeat and how to start anew. Every good person in life must nurture this trait in their life. This trait will be useful for them in the future.
Music and Dance Club: In music and dance club class I to V did practice of patriotic dance while students of class VI to X practice of patriotic song.
Hindi Club: In hindi club Picture Description activity was organised for class I to IV in which students described the picture in their own words. To build confidence, enhance speaking skills and stimulate one’s imagination, a short play on environment was organized for the students of class I to VIII.
English Club: In english club students of class I to III did an activity called” cross questioning description’ in which students of these classes put questions to other students. Also a short field trip was organised for class VIII to X. These trips foster a sense of team work and increase children’s knowledge and understanding of the world in which they live. Later they were made to write a paragraph on their observations in the field.
An activity called ‘word building’ was organised for class IV to VII today with a view to enhance their vocabulary and the knowledge of the students to form new words. Building Words activities are an alternative to traditional random memorizations of word exercises.These activities are fun, innovative and interesting enough to keep the students engaged with words.
