The momentous day of 04 May, 2019 at SNS Vidya Mandir dawned to bestow responsibilities on the deserving young talents of the school to lead each event from the front with their commitment, confidence and competence.
To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of being an important and integral part of the administrative body, ‘Student Council’ is formed every year.
The school held the investiture ceremony with great enthusiasm. It was the occasion where the young students were all prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted to them by the school.
The chief guest ,Manager DBN Trust Sh. Rajendar Kakkar, Astt. Manager Sh. Darshan Lal along with parents were present to grace the occasion and bless the students.
The event began with the welcome by Ms Shreya student of class X,who held the dais for the event.
The ceremony started by lighting the lamp, which signifies removal of darkness and the continuous upward movement of the flame denotes the path of wisdom and divinity. It was followed with school song by the school choir.
Thereafter, all the dignitaries along with Principal, CCA Coordinator and House Mentors took part in Investiture Ceremony and pinned badges and Sachs to the council members. The school flags and House flags ,which are the mark of responsibility were handed over to the Head boy and House captains by the coordinator. The oath ceremony filled the environment with proud and dignity.
While adressing the parents and students chief Guest Sh Rajindra Kakkar highlighted the importance of discipline in one’s life.
They also guided the youth to stay away from the distracting agents and stay focused towards their goal. Principal Ms. Puneet Kaur presented the vote of thanks and congratulated the newly appointed School Cabinet Members for their preparedness to take up responsibilities and work for coveted positions. The Principal motivated them to do as they say and say what they do.
She also stressed on school’s convention of delegating responsibility to the newly elected office bearers to spread the light of knowledge and pass on the rich legacy of values at SNS to their juniors.
The names of the torch bearers are Head Boy-Harsh Kumar , Head Girl-Heena Verma, Vice Head Boy-Varun, Vice Head Girl-Manvi, Sports Head boy –Bhanu Pratap Singh , Cultural Head boy –Rohit , Vice Cultural Haed Girl –Kavita , Discipline Head Boy –Hitesh Sharma, and Discipline Head Girl - Harshali. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem. It was a memorial day for SNS VIDYA MANDIR
