SERVICE: To acquaint students with various species of fish and other aquatic animals, SNS Vidya Mandir, on Saturday organised a field visit to the Aquarium for the students of Class VIII and X. The Aquarium is an eco-friendly place in which water dwelling animals and plants are kept. The Aquarium offered an entertaining, interactive and educational experience for the students.
SKILL: A colouring competition was organised at school to enhance the creative & motor skills of students of classes I,II and III. Children loved playing with colours and coloured pictures like doremon, bheem and aquarium. Emphasis was laid on neatness, colour pattern and combination. Students enjoyed while filling colours in the pictures.
SPORT: A friendly Kabaddi Match was played by the students of class IV and V. They enjoyed a lot while playing. Class IV won the match.
STUDY: An Inter Housr Quiz competition was organized in the school on the Current affairs for class VI and VII. The Quiz began with the introduction of the contestants and explanation of the rules by the teacher in- charge. Students were divided into four house groups Vivekanada, Tagore, Radhakrishnan and Aurobindo.
The questions put forth to the teams were intriguing, exciting and clapped when the teams answered correctly. The audience also got a chance to participate every time when the team could not answer correctly.
Every round was a mixed bag with questions from history, sports, books, languages, vocabulary and science. The final round, the Rapid-fire round gave the teams a chance to catch up with leaders and put-up a tough fight. At the end Aurobindo house stood 1st.
