Vasant Panchami has a specific meaning: Vasant means "spring" and Panchami means "the fifth day." Vasant Panchami falls on the fifth day of spring.

Basant Panchami is a famous festival that marks the end of the winter season and ushers in the spring time. Saraswati the Hindu goddess of knowledge is worshipped on the Basant Panchami festival. Toddlers of the school wore bright yellow dresses and participate in the festivity. The colour yellow holds a special meaning in this celebration as it signifies the brilliance of nature and the vibrancy of life. During the festival, India’s crop fields are filled with the colour yellow, as the yellow mustard flowers bloom at this time of the year. A special morning assembly was organized in which Anjali of class VI explained the importance of this day and why is it considered so auspicious. The festivity started with group song by students of class VI and VII. Students of class UKG recited a beautiful poem which was appreciated by all. A beautiful group dance was also performed by the students of class VI and VII . All the teachers wore yellow attire to bring home the concept of this colour to students. The whole place was vibrant with yellow color during the festival. Our tiny tots enjoyed the celebration and had a great experience. Principal Ms. Puneet Kaur also greeted the students on this occasion. At the end Prasad ( halwa) was distributed among the students ,
